Eric D. Burkholder

BROOKLINE, NH: Eric D. Burkholder, 30, of Fresh Pond Lane died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 31, 2011 following a lengthy illness.

Eric was born in Leominster, Mass., August 21, 1980 the son of David A. Burkholder and Rita B. (Sullivan) Chesterley and resided in Townsend before moving to Brookline in 1988.

He is survived by his parents, Rita Chesterley and her husband David of Brookline, NH, David A. Burkholder and his wife, Vicky, of Valsosta, Georgia; his daughter, Hannah V. Burkholder and her mother, Lisa A. (Loprete) Burkholder of Milford, NH; his sister, Stacey Burkholder and her fiance, Nick Catinella of Waltham; two stepsisters, Ann Chesterley of Manchester, NH and Beth Chesterley of Allenstown, NH; his paternal grandmother, Lois Burkholder of Westerly, RI. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and his dog, Moses.

Eric was a 1999 graduate of Hollis Brookline High School and later continued his education in the Information Technology field. For the past six years he worked in the technical support department at GN Netcom Incorporated in Nashua, NH. Prior to that he worked at New England Business Service in Groton.

He attended the Faith Worship Center in Pepperell.

Eric truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, snowboarder, hiker and enjoyed playing hockey. He had been involved in the scouting program in Townsend and later Brookline. He was a very devoted father who enjoyed spending time and traveling with his daughter, Hannah.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, February 4, 2011 at Faith Worship Center, 2 Lomar Park Drive, Pepperell.
