Douglas “Doug” W. Bristol, 47, a longtime resident of Hollis, NH, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born in Nashua on January 8, 1964, the son of the late James R. and Dorothy (Wheeler) Bristol Sr.

Doug graduated from Hollis High School, Class of 1983. He worked as an equipment operator and loved running his loader. He was quite a character and enjoyed having a beer while in his golf cart. He also loved his dog, cats and all animals.

He is survived by two brothers, James R. Bristol Jr. of Hollis and Steven A. Bristol and his wife Donna of Milford, NH; a sister, Marie Bristol Taylor of Bennington, NH; his maternal grandmother, Mary Wheeler of Pepperell, MA; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following cremation, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doug’s memory may be made to the Granite State Association of FFA, NH DAMF, PO Box 2042, Concord, NH 03302. The ST. LAURENT FUNERAL HOME, 116 Elm St., Nashua, NH 03060 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
