Dawn Bigelow Formica

Dawn Bigelow Formica died on June 2, 2013 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

Mrs. Formica was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1944. After graduating from Memorial High School in Connecticut, she attended Chamberlain School of Retailing, Boston, MA, Rivier College, Nashua, NH where she earned a B.A. in Psychology, and Antioch Graduate School in Keene, N.H with an M.A. in Applied Psychology.

Mrs. Formica and her husband moved to N.H. in 1970 where they lived in Brookline, NH for 42 years.  She worked as a social worker with several Nashua, N.H. agencies and as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in private practice in Milford and Amherst N.H. She was an active member of the Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Formica leaves her husband of 47 years, Richard Formica Sr.; two sons, Dr. Richard Formica Jr. and wife Trudianne of Bethany, CT, and Glenn L. Formica Esq. and his wife Megan of Guilford, CT.  She was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.  She also leaves a sister, Pamela Samul and her husband Steve; three aunts, Mary Maziotte, Tina Weidner, and Fran Salvatore, all of Connecticut; and a brother, Joel Bigelow and wife Beth of Haines of Oregon. 

SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of The Good Shepherd, 214 Main Street, Nashua, NH, with The Rev. Dr. Robert Odierna officiating, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to show an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to lung cancer research in her name.
