Constance Lee (Mahoney) Tomaso

BROOKLINE, NH – Constance Lee (Mahoney) Tomaso, 80, of Brookline, died peacefully Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, following a courageous 16 month period of declining health.

Her husband of 50 years, John A. Tomaso, died in June 2007.

Mrs. Tomaso was born in Boston, October 20, 1935, a daughter of Arhur L. and Eleanore (Byron) Mahoney and has resided in Brookline for over 40 years.

Connie owned and operated Brookline’s first full service florist shop, known as "Connie T’s," which she owned and operated for eighteen years. For many years she served as the Treasurer to the Brookline School District. She was an avid reader as well as a New England Patriots fan. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her beloved little black cat, LBC, who she acquired after the loss of her husband and who enhanced her life greatly for years.

Connie also spent many winters at her beloved spot in Georgetown, Exume, Bahamas.

She leaves her son, Terrence Tomaso of Brookline, NH; two daughters Suzette Holloway of Lancaster, NH, Michelle Putnam of Mount Vernon, NH; a brother, Arthur Mahoney of Dedham; two grandchildren, Sara and Ashley; and a great-grandchild on the way.

Many years ago she was predeceased by a daughter, Stephanie Tomaso.

A funeral Mass was celebrated 10 am Saturday, December 5th at St. John’s Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Friends and family were invited to meet at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Brookline. There are no calling hours.
