Barbara L. Madsen

Barbara L. Madsen, 84, of Hollis passed away on Friday December 11, 2015 at Bedford Hills Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.

She was born on June 27, 1931 in Downers Grove, IL to the late Homer and Earlanne (Wilber) Larson.

Barbara was the founder of the Hollis Girls Youth Softball league in the 1970s. She was an avid tennis player, a 10-pin bowler, and loved to oil paint.

Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Thomas Larson.

Surviving members of her family include her loving husband of 59 years, Ralph Madsen; two sons, Mark and Kile Madsen; a daughter, Kristin Chisholm; five grandchildren, Jessica Parson, Heather MacNeil, Scott and Shannon Chisholm, and Peter Madsen; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial service will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 303 Route 101, Amherst, NH on Saturday, Dec 19th, at 11 AM.
