Michael P. Parkhurst

Michael P. Parkhurst, 63, of Merrimack, NH died Oct. 17, 2015, at his home after a long illness.

He was born in Manchester, NH, on Feb. 16, 1952, a son of the late Howard Fillmore and Mary (Shaw) Parkhurst who died on July 28, 2015. He is the adoptive son of the late Charles Parkhurst.

Michael resided in Manchester and Hudson. He was a graduate of Alvirne High School.

Mike loved herb gardening and cooking for everyone. Mike and his son participated in kart racing for several years. Mike also enjoyed deep sea fishing and get-togethers with everyone for good times.

Mike and Judy enjoyed romantic dinners together, along with dressing up on New Year’s Eve for our private lobster dinner in our dining room. I will miss you my dear Mike, our hearts will be together forever.

He had been employed at Miraco, Inc. in Manchester as an operations manager.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his mother-in-law, Marie van de Weghe, who died Aug. 20, 2015.

Members of his family include his wife of 29 years, Judy (van de Weghe) Parkhurst of Merrimack; a son, Nathan Parkhurst; two daughters, Brandi Hunt, and Michelle Parkhurst; two grandchildren, Teagan James Parkhurst and Taylor Matthew Parkhurst; three brothers, Steven, Matt, and Charles; five sisters, Vicki Lajoe, Holly Beaulosiel, Cheryl Kasper, Debbie Baychak, and Pat Fitchette; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were private. A funeral service was held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Wednesday Oct. 21, 2015, at 9:30 AM. Burial followed across the street in Last Rest Cemetery.
