David L. Hebert

David L. Hebert, 76, longtime resident of Amherst, NH, died on February 18, 2016, surrounded by his family at the Arbors of Bedford. He was born in Manchester, NH on January 3, 1940, the son of the late Henry L. Hebert and Juliette (Beaudoin) Hebert. He was predeceased by his sister Susan (Hebert) Bucceny.

David attended Manchester, NH schools and continued on to receive a BA in Chemistry from Saint Anselm’s College and BS in Electrical Engineering from UNH. His love for electrical engineering was rewarded with a very exciting and challenging career which culminated in David being awarded a US patent while working for Rockwell International. David retired in 2004 and enjoyed maintaining his homestead. He also enjoyed the outdoors – walking, canoeing, hiking, biking and being with his family. He was a firm believer in his Catholic faith and was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church where he was a lector for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria (Gagne) Hebert; two sons, Leon Hebert of Exeter, NH and Paul Hebert of Merrimack, NH; and a sister, Louise Hebert of Manchester, NH. David is also survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours are on Friday, February 26th, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27th, at 10:00 AM in Saint Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Amherst, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 166 S.
