Kenneth F. Tassie Jr., 82, of Bellows Falls, VT, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home after a period of declining health.

He was born in East Berkshire, VT on Dec. 4, 1933, a son of the late Kenneth F. Tassie Sr. and Doris (Thebodeau) Tassie Fahey.

Ken had lived most of his life in the Nashua, Merrimack and Amherst area, before moving to Bellows Falls, VT over 12 years ago.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the Merrimack V.F.W. Post 8641.

Ken is predeceased by his first wife Jacqueline M. (Drew) Tassie. He is also predeceased by a son, Jason Tassie, and a sister Barbara Lillious.

Members of his family include two sons, Curtis Tassie of Nashua, and Christian Tassie of Bellows Falls, VT; five daughters, Jennifer Burton of Merrimack, NH, Penelope Tassie of Derby, VT, Kimberly Tassie of Nashua, Sandra Cantor of Bellows Falls, VT and Heidi Groff of Lee’s Summit, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister in-law, Donald and Nancy Tassie of Epping, NH and David Fahey of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held in the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 4-7 PM.

Following cremation, burial will be private in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
