To the Editor:

It was a great day to run on Monday, April 21, at the 118th running of the 2014 Boston Marathon.

I was so proud of everyone who participated in this special event, including my husband, Mark Linn.

It was a great way to show the running world that we can come back and run again after the terrorist attack of the previous marathon the year before.

It was also amazing to see an American man win the marathon, Meb Keflezighi, the last American to win it was Greg Meyer in 1983.

I have seen Mark run in the 2012 New York City ING Marathon, in the 2013 Manchester City Anthem Marathon and now in the 2014 Boston Marathon, and all of these runs were great events.

The next run he is going to do is for the Kimberly Lynn Cates Heal The Soul Run on Thursday, May 29, for a worthy and noble cause.

If you run or you want to be a spectator at one of these marathon events, it is a great experience to run, or to cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line!
