To the Editor:

Your editorial critiquing Francis Gros Louis’ letter is spot on.

I was tempted to write you a letter along the same strain, but then I thought, “Who am I to criticize someone as esteemed as Gros Louis?”

I grew up in Wilton. Wilton folks are Yankee to the core. No one is above the other. They take the bull by the horns and they didn’t let go.

I challenge Mr. Gros Louis to man up and call the editor and have a chat with her. Tell her what you know and how you know it. Name names. And let the good editor do her own investigation.

Otherwise, your letter comes across as from someone who has slipped into his dotage and is consumed by gossip.
