LACROSSE

Girls U11

A strong start propelled the Bedford U11 girls team to an 8-6 win over John Stark. The offense was paced by Marie Hamill with four goals, Regan O’Brien with two and one gaol a piece from Eli Enners and Sydney Grogan. Kayla Ware in goal withstood a strong second half from the Generals and Julian Bell and Lindsay Mello were dominant at midfield. Elizabeth Zimmerman and Maddie Goldstein played aggressively on attack.

SOCCER

High school camp

Bedford High School boys soccer coach Stuart Pepper will host two soccer camps this summer at the high school stadium. The Puppy Camp will run from June 23-27 for boys and girls ages 4-11. High school coaches and varsity players will be running the camp.

The Bulldog Camp will run from Aug. 4-8 and will be for middle and high school boys and girls who intend to try out for their respective school teams. Skills, fitness and tactical sessions will be given to prepare players for the tryouts. For more information, or to register, go to bhssoccercamp.com.

The Hollis Brookline Jr. Cavaliers Football and Cheer Athletic Program is currently seeking applications for all levels of football and cheer coaching positions. NHTI holding tournaments

NHTI will hold middle school basketball and softball tournaments on May 29-30 for interetsed teams. Each tournament will be limited to four teams and the registration fee is $125 per team with a guarantee of two games. GOLF

Softball fundraiser

The New England Diamond Gems will be holding their golf classic on the Jungle Course at Green Meadow Golf Course in Hudson with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on May 16. The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and prizes. Contests include closest to the pin and longest drive, and there will be raffles and auctions.
