MILFORD

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division II Prelims

March 5: No. 2 Portsmouth 62, No. 15 Milford 21

The Spartans trailed by only five in the dying minutes of the second quarter, but Portsmouth would go on a 9-0 run and would never look back, as they advanced to the quarterfinals.

Milford had trouble finding an offensive groove, as the team’s high scorers were Evan Perron and Seth Hopkins, who tied with four points.

Milford finished their season with a record of 4-15.

SOUHEGAN

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division II Prelims

March 5: No. 1 Pembroke 63, No. 16 Souhegan 45

Matt Segul and Brian Dworkin combined for 29 points, but it would be not enough as Souhegan was eliminated from the Division II playoffs.

Jerrell Duguay Webster also had a good offensive game, adding six points for the Sabers.

Souhegan finishes the season at 4-15, while Pembroke improves to 18-1 and will face the eight seed Kennett in the quarterfinals.

WILTON-
LYNDEBOROUGH

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division IV Prelims

March 4: No. 12: WLC 59, No. 5 Colebrook 56

Simply put, Jordan Litts carried the underdog Warriors past Colebrook. The junior scored a game- high 42 points to go along with 24 rebounds in the first round of the Division IV tournament. Despite being down 11 points after the half, Wilton rallied to win the upset.

Division IV quarterfinals

March 7: No. 4 Sunapee 84, No. 12 WLC 52

After an upset of the number five seed Colebrook, Wilton-Lyndeborough looked to keep their season alive against a strong Sunapee team. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Lakers were nearly flawless at the free throw lines, going 25 for 26 to put the game out of reach.

Coach Ken Garnham saw major improvements in the season and looks forward to next year. “We ended up 11-11, which is an improvement over last year. We Won a tournament game. Overall, we took a major step in becoming a respectable program again.”
