May 29: Lebanon 10, Milford 5

On offense Drew Jepson was 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Ryan Britton was 2 for 4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Britton also took the loss for Milford on the mound. Milford finishes the regular season with a 10-6 record.

SOFTBALL

May 29: Milford 20, Lebanon 0

Delaney Parker threw a no-hitter that included 10 strikeouts for the Spartans. On offense Julia Mazzeo was 5 for 5 with three RBIs. Katherine Paul was 3 for 4, while Jen Dupuis was 3 for 5 with three runs batted in. Milford moves to 9-7 with the win.

SOUHEGAN

BASEBALL

May 29: ConVal 5, Souhegan 1

Bryce Knight picked up the loss for Souhegan. He pitched two and a third innings, allowing two runs on one hit, but walked eight and struck out three. For ConVal, Ivon Clough threw a complete game two hitter, striking out six and walking none. Seth Learned and Jonathan Robinson had the Sabers’ hits, while Learned also had an RBI.

May 31: Souhegan 5, Hanover 4

Thomas Bennett tied the game with an RBI single in the sixth before scoring the winning run, helping lead the Sabers past Hanover. Seth Learned got Souhegan (4-12) on the board in the third inning, knocking in Jonathan Robinson and Thomas Bennett with a single. Max Benevides later knocked in Chandler MacKenzie with a double. Kees Gronstra also scored a run in the victory.

MacKenzie earned the win, throwing all seven innings. He allowed six hits and five walks while striking out two. Behind him, outfielders Benevides and August Darula made exceptional plays. Second baseman Mike Mancini also made a nice grab to start a double play.

SOFTBALL

May 29: Souhegan 6, ConVal 3

Lauren McCormick and Abrie Davis both had three hit games for the Sabers. In the circle Hailey Yabroudy pitched a complete game to earn the win. In the seventh inning, Cassidy Alger had an RBI single to start a three run rally to break open a tie game. The Sabers improve to 11-4 with the victory.

May 30: Souhegan 2, Trinity 0

The Sabers displayed some solid pitching, timely offense and error-free defense as they squeezed by Trinity in their final game of the season. Hannah Cochrin earned the win for Souhegan (12-4), pitching a complete game three-hitter. She walked four and struck out seven.

Abrie Davis got the Sabers on the board in the first, knocking in Val Mukai on an RBI single. Later in the game, Lauren McCormick reached base on a bunt single and eventually scored. Cori Sousa had a great defensive game at first base, recording six unassisted putouts.

GIRLS TENNIS

Division II quarterfinals

May 28: No. 2 Hanover 9,
No. 7 Souhegan 0

The Sabers were eliminated in the opening round of the NHIAA Division II tournament. Playing well for the Sabers in the loss was No. 3 singles Annie Protzmann. In doubles, the No. 2 duo of Lindsay Moss and Bailey Farris also played well. Souhegan finishes the season with a record of 9-6.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

May 29: Bishop Guertin 3, Souhegan 1

Aidan Loftus had a solid game for the Cardinals, as he tallied 26 attacks, 12 kills, and 13 digs. Kyle Cushion also played well in the win with 13 served points, four aces, 17 attacks, and four kills. Tom Stuopis had 19 served points, one ace, 27 attacks, seven kills, and seven assists. Scores by set were: 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, and 25-18. BG moves to 7-7 with the win while Souhegan falls to 4-11.

SOFTBALL

May 28: WLC 15, Hinsdale 4

Sarah Holka had a great day for the Warriors on the mound and at the plate, helping WLC easily defeat Hinsdale. Holka led the WLC offense with five hits. She also had a solid outing on the mound, allowing one earned run over six innings of work. She allowed five hits and struck out eight.

Sami Bosquet had four hits for the Warriors while Jenna Bragdon and Ally Schwab each had three.

May 30: WLC 19, Epping 8

Sami Bosquet and Sarah Holka led the Warrior offense, as both were 4 for 5 at the plate with five RBIs. Holka picked up the win in the circle, going four and two thirds inning, striking out six, and allowing only three hits.

WLC ends the regular season with a 14-2 record.
