Feb. 11
On Feb. 11 at 10:56 p.m., officer Aimee LaPointe stopped a Lincoln Mark VII on South River Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver was identified as James Hawxwell, 37, of Merrimack, who was charged with operating while deemed a habitual offender and operating without proof of insurance. Hawxwell was held on a cash bail and arraigned in Merrimack District Court the next morning.
Feb. 12
On Feb. 12 at 12:44 a.m., officer Michael Cherwin stopped a Jeep Cherokee on New Boston Road for multiple motor vehicle violations. The driver was identified as Wilson Gomes, 43, of Bedford. Gomes was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated. He was given a personal recognizance bail with a Feb. 17 court date in Merrimack District Court.
On Feb. 12 at 12:48 p.m., officer Robert Lavoie responded to the Marshall’s store at the Bedford Mall for a reported shoplifter. Alyssa Chalke, 22, of Fitchburg, Mass., was taken into custody for willful concealment and false report to law enforcement for giving a false name during the investigation. Chalke was given a $5,000 PR bail with a March 22 court date in Merrimack District Court.
Feb. 13
On Feb. 13 at 12:17 a.m., officer Thomas McAuliffe stopped a Subaru Impreza for a motor vehicle violation on Liberty Hill Road. The driver was an underage minor, 17, of Bedford, and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was given a Feb.17 court date in the Merrimack District Court.
On Feb. 13 at 1:49 a.m., officer Michael Cherwin stopped a 2003 Toyota Camry for multiple motor vehicle violations on South River Road. The driver was identified as Christopher Gehling, 24, of Londonderry, and was subsequently arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated. Gehling was given a personal recognizance bail with a court date of Feb. 24 in the Merrimack District Court.
During the same motor vehicle stop, Gehling’s passenger, identified as Ashley Berberian, 24, of Derry, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Berberian was given a personal recognizance bail and a March. 22 court date in the Merrimack District Court.
On Feb. 13 at 11:29 p.m., officer Patrick Gilligan stopped a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue for a motor vehicle violation on Route 101. The driver was identified as John Cassera, 37, of Hudson, and was taken into custody and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Cassera was given a personal recognizance bail and a Feb. 24 court date in the Merrimack District Court.
Feb. 14
On Feb. 14 at 2:45 a.m., Bedford police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 193 Back River Road. Upon arrival, Officers found a Volkswagen Jetta that collided into a stone wall. After further investigation, the driver was identified as Nicholas Rice, 23, of Hopkinton. Rice was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released on personal recognizance with a court date of Feb. 24 in the Merrimack District Court.
On Feb. 14 at 1:48 a.m., officer Brian Fleming stopped a Toyota Corolla on New Boston Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon further investigation, the driver was identified as Marissa Doughty, 19, of Farmington, was charged with transporting alcohol by a minor. Doughty was given a personal recognizance bail and a court date of March 22 in Merrimack District Court.
Her passenger, Shawn Davis, 19, of East Wakefield, was taken into custody and charged with possession of drugs (marijuana) and given a personal recognizance bail with a court date of March 22 in the Merrimack District Court.
Another passenger, Bow Spurlock, 24, of Rochester, was taken into custody and charged with possession of drugs (marijuana) and given a personal recognizance bail with a court date of March 22 in Merrimack District Court.
A third passenger, identified as a 17-year-old female minor of Rochester, was taken into protective custody and released to a person over 21 years of age.
On Feb. 14 at 1:54 a.m., officer Thomas McAuliffe stopped a 2008 Nissan Rogue on South River Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver was identified as Lindsay Hojlo, 25, of Bedford, and was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated. Hojlo was given a personal recognizance bail with a court date of Feb. 24 in the Merrimack District Court.
