The Bedford Firefighters Association will hold its 74th annual Firemen’s Ball from 7p.m-midnight, Friday, May 11, at the Manchester Country Club. The event is held by the association to raise money to purchase equipment for the ambulance and fire department. The fundraising also provides the association the ability to continue the Normand Richards Scholarship each year for graduating senior high school students from Bedford. The firefighters Association also sponsors the annual fire prevention program for the fire department. Dinner is served by the country club at 7p.m. and dancing to the music of the Ramblin Sounds goes until midnight. Tickets can be purchased by calling John Ackerson at 622-2918.
