Girard switches to FM

Richard H. Girard, host of Girard at Large in the Morning on AM 1250 WGAM announced a new partnership with New Hampshire Family Radio WLMW 90.7 FM. With its transmission antenna located on Mount Uncanoonuc, Girard at Large will be better able to serve suburban communities West of Manchester, including Bedford, Merrimack, Amherst, Milford, New Boston, Mont Vernon, Goffstown, Weare, and Dunbarton. Listeners in Manchester, Hooksett, Allenstown, Candia, Auburn, Deerfield, Raymond, Chester, Litchfield, Londonderry and Derry are not expected to be affected by the signal change.

Girard at Large will begin broadcasting from its new FM home on Monday, June 18, and will remain in Morning Drive every Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 AM.

“We’re thrilled to join New Hampshire Family Radio,” said Girard. “We believe our audience and sponsors will be well served by this change.” Girard said the show will continue its live stream at www.girardatlarge.com and was hopeful that WLMW’s technology infrastructure would make it easier for people to stream the show on their portable devices, including smart phones and tablets.

Over the past 20 years, Girard has been a Manchester alderman at-Large, candidate for mayor, mayoral assistant, weekly newspaper columnist, television show host, regular radio personality and community activist before launching the radio show last September.
