The youth membership of the Coalition for Bedford Youth was invited to speak to seventh grade students and parents at the Ross Lurgio Middle School Stand By Me program May 18.

Their presentation included games that showed it was easier for these seventh-graders to resist negative influences when they have peers with the same values supporting them.

Also, as Bryce Nixon said, “We wanted to show Lurgio students that CBY does community service in a fun way.”

The Coalition for Bedford Youth is a non-profit organization for students in grades 8-12 which encourages youth to give back to the community and to develop leadership skills within themselves. To learn more about CBY, visit www.cbynh.org.
