Hi, I’m Linda! I’m a pretty young calico lady, only 3 years old, and I was born with only one eye. It doesn’t hinder my movements – I can jump just as high as anyone! I’m here because my owner developed health problems and could no longer care for me or my siblings. I am an indoor kitty, mostly fine with other cats (although I could be fine as an only cat too, I bet), companionable, confident and quiet. Also, I use my scratching post. I’m pretty easy-going, although sometimes I like to do things on my own terms. (There’s my confidence again!) Are you interested in giving a not-much-trouble kitty a forever home?

Hi, it’s Lucie again! I’m a 9-year-old Boxer mix. I’ve been at the shelter for a while now; they tell me it’s because of my age. People are afraid to adopt older dogs because we might not be around for a long time. But I’m not going anywhere! Volunteers at the ARL take me running or hiking every weekend, and I’m a good runner, if I do say so myself. I would like to be the only dog in your home so I can get all of your attention. I like car rides and like to give kisses. If you want to give an older dog a new chance, please come visit.
