Bedford man dies in car crash

An early morning car crash on Saturday, July 28, in Manchester claimed the life of a Bedford man.

State police and Manchester fire and rescue crews responded around 6:46 a.m. to the scene of the crash at the northbound Exit 2 ramp off Interstate 293. Upon arrival, the troopers found a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer on its side.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ian Bolser, 19, of Bedford. Bolser was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. Bolser’s passenger, Andrew Roy, 19, of Bedford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation by the state police. Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have information about the crash is asked to contact trooper Phil Akstin at 223-8672.

Roy was born in Quebec on Dec. 29, 1992, to Sylvain and Lisa Roy. He attended Bedford High School before graduating from the Manchester School of Technology.

Most recently, he had been working as a carpenter with his father’s construction company.

Calling hours were Aug. 1 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services were Thursday at St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
