Members First Credit Union hosts casual Friday to benefit CASA

MANCHESTER – Members First Credit Union employees take casual day seriously. Each Friday, employees give $5 to dress down in jeans and other casual attire to support local charities. Members First recently donated $470 from the Casual Friday Fund to CASA of NH – Court Appointed Special Advocates.

Since 1989, CASA of NH has served more than 10,000 children in New Hampshire who were victims of abuse and neglect.

“Every child deserves to live in a healthy environment, but unfortunately, this is not the case for some New Hampshire children,” said Bruce Leighton, president and CEO, Members First Credit Union. “CASA of NH advocates and provides a voice for our state’s most vulnerable children, and Members First is deeply honored to support their mission with this donation.”

CASA of NH is a private, nonprofit organization whose volunteers are regular citizens who train to become Guardians ad Litem, or ‘guardians of the case.’ CASA volunteers are appointed by judges as advocates for children involved in cases of neglect and abuse.
