MANCHESTER – The Boy Scouts of America, Daniel Webster Council is partnering with local residents to fight against hunger throughout New Hampshire during the annual Scouting for Food Drive.

In 2018, 40 million Americans – including 6.5 million children – lived in households that were food insecure, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. This means these families were uncertain of having, or unable to acquire, enough food to meet the needs of all their members.

To help put a stop to hunger in our communities, 5,000 Scouts canvassed area neighborhoods on November 2nd to distribute door tags to homes. The coming weekend on November 9th, Scouts will pick up any non-perishable food items donated in boxes or bags and deliver them to local food pantries throughout the community.
