Carriage Depot, plaza in Amherst, sold for $1.385 million
AMHERST – Carriage Depot, a shopping center on Route 101A in Amherst, has been sold for $1.385 million.
The half-dozen tenants, including A&E Coffee and State Farm insurance, will remain, but the four-building complex will be refurbished and renamed, to MC Square.
According to the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $1.385 million.
It was purchased by Kakele LLC, an Amherst-based real estate firm.
“This area has so many more big-box retailers than it did 20 years ago. I am enjoying that we can breathe new life into one of the few small-box shopping centers left on Amherst Street,” Karen Goddard, of Kakele, said in a press release.
The plaza, which includes two stand-alone houses and two buildings adjoined at the corner, dates back to 1984. It is only about three acres and has about 20,000 square feet of retail space,
