WLC roof to be repaired in spring
WILTON – One section of the original roof of Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative High School will be replaced this spring using $60,000 from a capital reserve fund.
The School Board voted to do the work at their meeting on March 2 "in order to get the work into the bidder’s schedule."
Two bids were received for the work.
The school dates to 1971, and the roof was last repaired in 1999 during renovations and the construction of the middle school.
The work is the start of a program to replace the entire roof over the next few years at a total cost of about $500,000. There is currently a balance of $257,500 in the fund. The project is scheduled for completion in 2022.
