No one hurt in fire

MILFORD – No one was injured in a fire in a single-family house on Fernwood Drive Tuesday, but “a lot of heat and smoke damage” has made the home unlivable, said Milford Fire Chief Jack Kelly. The cause was probably electrical, he said, and it seems to have started in the basement.

The call came in at 9:10 a.m. Dec. 4, and the fire was quickly controlled. Responding to the scene were Amherst, Brookine, Hollis and Wilton departments, while Mont Vernon covered the Milford station.
