MILFORD – Firefighters made quick work of a fire that broke out Sunday morning at Hendrix Cable, but then had to deal with a significant smoke condition inside the large factory.

Crews were called about 8:30 a.m. to the Old Wilton Road business, and upon arrival reported smoke visible from the building.

All employees evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters.

Flames were quickly extinguished

The cause remains under investigation.
