Rev. Dr. Regina Kinney bids farewell to congregation in Milford

WILTON – Members of the Second Congregational Church said “thank you, good luck, and good-bye” to their pastor, Rev. Dr. Regina Kinney on Saturday, June 8, with a potluck supper in the parish hall. Kinney is leaving the church after serving for five years to answer a call to another phase of her ministry. Her husband, Bruce Kinney has been a member of the choir.

Her final service was scheduled for Sunday, June 9.

Kinney cut a large decorated cake following supper. She was presented several thank you gifts, including a wooden tray from Frye’s Measure Mill with a pair of goblets and a bottle of wine from LaBelle’s,

Deacon Lori Dick said the Measure Mill gift was chosen “so that she has something to remember Wilton.”

The church will host guest ministers during the summer and expect to have an interim pastor by fall, who will serve while a new pastor is sought.
