There is now a permanent Drug Take Back Box in the Police Department lobby. The box was granted by the KidsCents and Rite Aid Foundation. The lobby is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Disposal can be made at any time there is an administrative assistant in the office. If the door is locked, there may be a delay for an officer to respond. What can be accepted include prescription medications (Schedule II-V controlled and non-controlled substances) Over the counter medications. Items that are not accepted include illegal drugs, needles, lotion or liquids, inhalers, aerosol cans, thermometers or hydrogen peroxide.
