Art of Beekeeping @ the Amherst Town Library

Did you know that the practice of beekeeping dates back at least 4,500 years? How about that approximately one third of the food we eat is the result of honey bee pollination?

Join Julie Kelley, owner of Tewksbury Honey, at the Amherst Town Library on Wednesday, August 14 at 7:00PM for a lively presentation and discussion about her favorite pollinators!

This hour long program will feature information about honey bees, keeping bees, and, of course, honey and its benefits. Julie’s honey will be for sale at the end of the program.

And remember, attendance at adult programs qualifies you to mark a checkbox on your library “Reward Card”. Completed cards will be entered in a raffle for great prizes.

All adult programs offered at the Amherst Town Library are free and open to the public. However, registration is REQUIRED for each program due to space limitations. You can register for these events listed above by calling 673-2288 or by visiting the website at www.amherstlibrary.org  and selecting the “Community Services” tab, then click on drop down “Sign-Up for Programs.”
