MILFORD – Take a trip back in time during the Milford Historical Society’s open house on Saturday and Sunday.

In our continuing celebration of the 40th anniversary of being in the Carey House Museum, another fun event has been planned.

We will be revisiting the year 1979 and reminiscing about Milford’s restaurants, stores and businesses.

This special presentation will highlight the popular TV shows, advertisements, music, cars and movies of the day.

Will you remember theme songs or ad jingles? Will you sing along to the popular music of the day? Did you own a Camaro? Were you a fan of “The Muppets Movie?”

Join us to reminisce about what was new in the world and in Milford in 1979. There is no need to wear your leisure suit or platform shoes to this event, but we won’t mind if you do!

We will be offering some of the candy snacks from that era for refreshments.

The Carey House is located at 6 Union St. Open house hours are from 2-4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Please use the accessible entrance on the driveway side of the building.
