Martin honored by New Futures with Legislator of the Year award

CONCORD – Rep. Joelle Martin, of Milford, was recently honored by New Futures, New Hampshire’s leading health policy and advocacy organization, for her work to support Granite State children and families.

Over the last year, Representative Martin has been a consistent and reliable champion for health and wellness issues in the state Legislature. She worked to secure state funding for Medicaid Home Visiting and Family Resource Centers, among other resources, and led the charge on other critical children’s behavioral health reforms. For these efforts, New Futures honored Martin with its Legislator of the Year award.

“Rep. Martin is a reliable and dedicated legislator who prioritizes the well-being of all Granite Staters”, said Michele Merritt, CEO and President of New Futures. “Her strong collaborative and bipartisan approach is essential for meaningful policy change to improve the health and wellness of New Hampshire.”

“Given the mission and quality work of New Futures, it is truly an honor to receive this award.” Representative Martin said, “We know that policy advancements require the collaboration of many. Thank you to the New Futures team and my legislative colleagues for their dedication to the health and well-being of Granite Staters. I’m grateful for the work we do to build a New Hampshire where all of our children and citizens can thrive.”
