Monadnock Underground releases book

PETERBOROUGH – Local literary journal Monadnock Underground has announced the publication of its first book. Written by creative director Christopher J. DiLoreto, Steal This Day: 12 Simple Exercises to Claim Your Time and See the Glory in Everything is an engaging, easy-to-use guide to improving the quality of our ordinary days and experiencing them as meaningful. The 12 exercises are broken into three sections – four for the morning, four for the middle of the day, and four for the evening. From the book’s description:

Every single one of us has the right to fully experience a meaningful, rich, and spirit-filled life. As much of a dream as that may sound, we all have the ability to exercise that right, too – no matter who we are or what our circumstances may be. This book is for those who get frustrated and overwhelmed, who don’t have the time or patience for a proper yoga or meditation routine, who lose their temper even when trying to be mindful.

Each of the 12 exercises in this book can be done in mere minutes. Targeted for morning, midday and evening, each short blessing and its accompanying meditation is designed to be doable on the fly, without a tranquil setting, and without any discipline barrier.

The book is available in paperback at the Toadstool Bookstore.

Copies can also be obtained by contacting Monadnock Underground directly.

In addition to serving as creative director of Monadnock Underground, Chris DiLoreto is a blogger, podcaster, speaker, and performer based in Peterborough (and sometimes known as the Wizard of Monadnock).

Monadnock Underground, recently incorporated as an LLC in the State of New Hampshire, publishes original writing online (www.medium.com/monadnock-underground) several times each week, and this represents its first foray into print. Several future print projects are being planned, including a glossy Quarterly magazine due out later this month.
