MILFORD – Last week, the Milford fire department announced several promotions of the fire team.

Lt. Gary Williams has been promoted to captain. He will oversee Companies: Engine 2 and Ladder 1. Lt. Thomas Crowley has been promoted to captain. He will oversee Companies: Engine 1 and Engine 3.

Firefighter Ray Anderson has been promoted to lieutenant and has been assigned to Ladder 1; and firefighter John O’Connor has been promoted to lieutenant and has been assigned to Engine 3.

On their Facebook page, the department congratulated their officers on their recent promotions and thanked members who tested as well.

“Our members did not make the promotional process easy, and we are proud of the amazing firefighters that we have on our department,” it read. Thank you to all of you, for dedicating the time and energy to prepare for the promotional process, and we wish you much success in your new positions.”
