Tupelo Music Hall announces schedule for 2021 Drive-In Experience

DERRY – Tupelo Music Hall recently announced the schedule for its second year of outdoor live music.

Tickets for the Drive-In Experience series are available now and can be found on the hall’s website at https://tickets.tupelohall.com/.

The series kicks off on April 30 with singer/guitarist Tim Theriault, whose genres include rock, blues and folk.

Then, fans will be in for a hit-laden weekend with Foreigners Journey, playing all the classic hits of the legendary stadium rock bands Foreigner and Journey. They are scheduled for four performances on May 1-2, with tickets selling fast, including one performance that already has sold out.

Other tribute acts on the schedule include Captain Fantastic (Elton John), Tusk (Fleetwood Mac), Classic Stones Live, Crazy on You (Heart) and JT Express (James Taylor), among many others.

EagleMania, faithfully reproducing the Eagle’s repertoire of heart-felt ballads, rock anthems and incredible vocal harmonies, will take the stage on 4th of July weekend.

Boat House Row will be performing a stellar Yacht Rock experience on June 20. Yacht Rock refers to the highly polished brand of soft rock that emanated from Southern California between 1976 and 1984, with artists such as Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross, The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan and Toto.

The jam-packed schedule includes a diverse group of original artists as well.

Jorma Kaukonen (May 9), the founding member of two legendary bands – Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, brings his unique styling to old blues tunes.

Jon Butcher Axis (May 29) will deliver a mix of rock and R&B, funk and soul, jazz and Americana.

Gary Hoey (May 30) is a master rock guitarist, known for his scorching live shows. Singer/songwriter Dar Williams (June 20) has been captivating audiences with her sheer elegance and honesty in her moving folk-pop songs, and her raw, acoustic energy. James Montgomery (June 25) is a blues legend with a dynamic stage presence, and a master on the harmonica.

Pop star Tiffany (June 26) was a young teen when her song “I Think We’re Alone Now” became a smash hit, and now her song-writing and performances have gracefully matured. Kasim Sultan (July 17) is a singer, song-writer and multi-instrumentalist who has played with everyone from Todd Rundgren, Meatloaf, Hall & Oates, Joan Jett and many other renowned artists. Saving Abel (July 24) is a heavy hitting rock band that’s all about the fans, and supporting military veterans. Folk singer Jonathan Edwards (July 30) has had a stellar career of uncompromising musical integrity, and delivers songs of passion, insight, and humor, in his pure and powerful tenor.

There are more shows on the schedule and new shows are being announced weekly.

The drive-in venue is in the parking lot of the Tupelo Music Hall at 10 A Street in Derry. Every vehicle will have an adjacent space for lawn chairs.
