J. A. Tarbell Library receives gant
LYNDEBOROUGH – The J. A. Tarbell Library has received a grant of $1,100 from the Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS) with New Hampshire State Library. The grant is part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
The grant program was designed to help support the goals of IMLS toward lifelong learning, strengthening community engagement, and advancing collections stewardship and access. Each grant supports one of these goals.
Program Director Regina Conrad said the grant will be used to purchase a market tent for outdoor programming and a new sandwich sign to better inform the community of programs.
She also said the summer reading BINGO has been extended through Aug. 28. A $2 Village Store gift card and a raffle ticket is given for each BINGO.
The raffle is a $50 gift card; under age 8 to Toyland, 8 and up to Wilton House of Pizza, teen and adults, Nelson’s Candy.
The library is open Monday through Thursday and Saturday from, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. For information call 654-6790, or visit jatarbellibrary.org.
