Remembering 9/11 – A Community Gathering set in Milford

Area residents and visitors are invited to attend the Remembering 9/11 community gathering at The Oval in downtown Milford, NH, on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. The event enables us to gather and remember those who lost their lives due to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. We also honor the survivors, first responders who rushed to the scenes, caregivers who assisted the injured and the families afterward, and Americans who fight for our freedom today.

The event program will include inspirational words from local dignitaries and a first-hand recollection of that tragic day twenty years ago. Attendees may join in song with the Milford High School Singers, including the profoundly moving “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” The event will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and conclude by 8:46, with the ringing of the Paul Revere bell at the time when the first jet hit the Twin Towers.

This community gathering is organized by the Milford Rotary Club in collaboration with the Town of Milford and its emergency services departments – Fire, Police, DPW and Ambulance services.
