International Observe the Moon Night set

LYNDEBOROUGH – The J. A. Tarbell Library will take part in International Observe the Moon Night on Sat., Oct. 16, 7 p.m., at the Town Hall in Lyndeborough Center, 1131 Center Road. Telescopes will be set up to observe the moon, Jupiter and Saturn as well as identification of constellations.

The event is free and open to the public, but due to COVID, please wear a mask.

The event is sponsored by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission and the Solar System Exploration Division of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The annual event connects educators, lunar enthusiasts and scientists from around the world.

Handouts will be available at the library.
