Wilton Winter Festival a big hit

WILTON – Spring-like weather on Feb. 12 brought dozens of families to Main Street for a revised winter festival and a chance to get outside.

It began at the library with Valentine crafts and snow elves and ended in the Collaborative Space at the Second Congregational Church for an old-fashioned pot luck supper.

In between, St. Joseph Hospital’s Mobile Health Clinic held a heart wellness program complete with teddy bears to demonstrate heart health for the little ones. Blood pressure screenings were offered along with a lot of information

Main Street Association sponsored a campfire (actually a fire pit) in Main Street Park for toasting marshmallows to make s’mores, plus a sing-along and stories.

Collaborative Space sponsored an artisan’s market which included a wide variety of jewelry, pottery and other crafts, plus a booth for toys and treats for dogs and cats.
