MILFORD – A year after being featured on Bravo television’s “Top Chef,” Greenleaf and Ansanm restaurant owner and chef Chris Viaud is again making waves in the restaurant industry.

Viaud has been nominated as a semifinalist in the 2022 James Beard Awards under the Emerging Chef Category, the new name for the former Rising Star award.

“I am truly humbled by the recognition and nomination from the James Beard Foundation. Since moving back to the Granite State, and establishing myself as a chef in Milford, part of my focus has been to bring recognition to all that this beautiful state has to offer,” Viaud said. “It has been a dream of mine to be represented among some of the best talents in the country, and I plan on continuing with Greenleaf’s mission to support local agriculture and bring a relaxed and inviting dining experience to the community.”

Viaud’s two eateries include Greenleaf, a busy farm-to-table upscale restaurant, and Ansanm.

Viaud, from Randolph, Massachusetts, but grew up in Londonderry and now calls Milford home.
