Business gives back

HUDSON – Granite State Indoor Range and Gun Shop prides itself as New England’s friendliest range, firearms store, and training center. They are very active in their local community and the other communities they serve. The unfortunate situation in Ukraine is one that is close to the heart of GSIR, as one of their longtime employees has family that is still living in Eastern Ukraine.

In support of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Ukraine, GSIR organized two raffles that raised over $20,000 dollars through the generous support of their members and patrons. This initiative is an ongoing effort at GSIR, and they have committed all proceeds from select in-store merchandise to the be donated to the ICRC.

GSIR recognizes the heroes in the ICRC and is doing what they can to assist them. The objective behind Granite State Indoor Range’s campaign is to aid the innocent citizens of Ukraine and the first responders whose lives are at risk every day. Thanks to the ICRC, over 500 tons of medical supplies, food, and relief items have already been delivered into Ukraine, with more being delivered each day.

Longtime employee, Matthew Berish, who still has family in Ukraine, said “When I first heard about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I was devastated. The first couple of days were spent frantically trying to call family and friends, finding most of them were in hiding from the constant bombardment, attempting to flee, or had taken up arms in defense of their nation.
