New $139,000 paving project approved
LYNDEBOROUGH – At their regular meeting on Wednesday, July 13, the Board of Selectmen approved a new contract to repave Cram Hill Road. The summer paving plan has been revised several times as prices have increased. The new contract is for $139,000.
The original plan was for parts of North Lyndeborough.
Road Agent Rick McQuade said the work on Cram Hill would take “about two weeks,” and he will have the preliminary work completed before that – replacing three culverts.
McQuade said “at some point we have to get some gravel on the gravel roads.”
In other business, the board approved a new schedule of fees for land use boards. After the changes are reviewed and approved by the Planning Board, a public hearing will be held sometime in August.
Adjustments were also made to the rental schedule for the Town Hall.
Town Administrator Russ Boland was authorized to sign a purchase and sales agreement for a new Highway Department truck.
The next regular meeting of the board was set for Wednesday, July 27, 6 p.m., in the town office.
