High Bowing String Quartet

The Wilton Collaborative Space, 25 Gregg Street, will sponsor a free concert on Thursday, Aug. 11, 7:30 p.m., featuring The High Bowing String Quartet.

The musicians are members of the Raphael Chamber Music Workshop and will perform works by Mozart and Brahms. Performers are Linda Nelson, violin; Ed Mellander, violin; Kathy Mellander, viola, and Lee Copenhaver, cello.

The group, from New York state, meets at High Mowing School during August.

Refreshments will be served.

On-going programs at the Collaborative Space include Project Linus on Aug. 23, Edge finish blankets that will be given to first responders for children in need. All materials are provided, instructions given. Refreshments and conversation and a chance to make a difference.

Care Givers Drop-in, Friday, Aug. 12, 10 a.m. A time for care givers to learn about resources, have a cup of tea or coffee, and connect with other care-givers.

Open Mic, Wednesday, Aug. 24, and every fourth Wednesday. Have a song to sing? An instrument to play? A poem to read? This is the place to do it. Recent programs have included everything from old-time fiddling, recorder and cello, and ukulele sing-alongs. Free pizza is served.

The Collaborative Space is a project of the Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library and is made possible in part by the New Hampshire State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
