Sept. 30 was International Observe the Moon Day. J.A. Tarbell Library Program Director Regina Conrad had her telescope ready near the Town Hall, which has a wide view of the sky, but the leading edge of Hurricane Ian almost obscured the crescent moon and none of the planets were visible. Conrad is looking for another day. The event has been celebrated for the past dozen years.
