History of barns

LYNDEBOROUGH – On Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., The J.A. Tarbell Library will present the N.H. Humanities to Go program “The History of Agriculture as Told Through Barns.”

The presenter is historian John C. Porter.

The style of barns in New Hampshire changed from colonial times to handle increased production and a growing population. Follow this progression of barn styles and the history theY reveal.

Humanities to Go is a statewide speakers’ bureau providing cultural programs for libraries and other non-profits. Programs are free and open to the public.

On Saturday, Oct. 15, 1 – 2 p.m., the Tarbell Library will offer Halloween cookie decorating and other crafts.

The Cribbage Group meets at the library very second and fourth Wednesday at 1:30.
