Candy drive

WILTON – The fourth annual Halloween Community Candy Drtive to help feed the Candy Monster is now in progress.

The neighborhood around Florence Rideout Elementary School hosts trick-or-treaters from all over town. Those residents give out hundreds of pieces of candy, a huge expense to those homeowners.

The Town Clerk’s Office, Police Department, and Lyndeborough Town Office are again joining forces to collect candy for trick-or-treating.

Donations must be in the original sealed packages and dropped off at the Wilton Public Library, Wilton Town Hall, Police Station, or Lyndeborough Town Office until Friday, Oct. 21.

To receive candy, check a map to see if you are eligible (in general, the area north of Main Street between Gregg Street and Pine Valley Street, and south of Livermore. Tremont and Maple Streets. Only registered households may pick up donations, and only one pick-up per household.

To sign up call 603-654-2581 or email wiltonlibrarynh@gmail.com prior to Oct. 21. Proof of residency will be required.

Trick-or-treating will be held on Monday, oct. 31, 6 to 8 p.m. If welcoming trick-or-treaters, turn on the outside lights at 6 p.m.
