Marine Patrol: Hollis man, 76, possibly drowned on Franklin Pierce Lake in Hillsborough

HILLSBOROUGH, New Hampshire – On August 21, 2023, at approximately 11:22 a.m., the New Hampshire State Police Communications Unit received a call of a possible drowning on Franklin Pierce Lake in Hillsborough, N.H.

This is the seventh report of a possible drowning in New Hampshire during August.

The male victim was later identified as Alan Morrison, age 76, of Hollis, NH. Neighbors found him in the water along the shoreline of his residence and immediately called 9-1-1. Responding agencies included New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, New Hampshire State Police Troop B, Hillsborough Police and Fire Departments, and the Hollis Police Department. The NH Medical Examiner’s Office also responded and have scheduled an autopsy for tomorrow.
