WLC dance team enjoys Nationals

WILTON – The Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative School Dance Team spent Feb. 1 to 5 at the National Competition in Orlando, Fla.

Although they did not win any trophies, they “were able to have an experience that they will remember the rest of their lives,” according to Principal Tom Ronning who was one of the chaperones.

That experience included seeing dancers from schools across the country and watching them perform in the competitions.

“They were on the dance floor and competing at the ESPN Sports complex,” Ronning said. “Just being in the competition,” was an experience.

The team earned an invitation to the competition at a dance camp last summer.

The girls used Disney transportation to the competitions and spent a day in the Magic Kingdom.
