United Way & NPL Volunteer Fair set

NASHUA – Ready to make a difference in your community? Join us on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Chandler Wing of the Nashua Public Library for the Greater Nashua Volunteer Fair–an evening of inspiration, connection, and community impact.
Hosted by United Way of Greater Nashua and the Nashua Public Library, this free event brings together more than 30 local nonprofits offering a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re passionate about youth development, food security, environmental sustainability, or supporting older adults, there’s a place for you to get involved.
Meet local organizations like The Caregivers and the Girl Scouts and learn how you can lend your time and talents. From delivering groceries to homebound neighbors, to helping kids thrive at summer camp, each nonprofit is eager to connect with potential volunteers just like you.
You’ll also have the chance to speak with United Way of Greater Nashua about their volunteer-powered programs, including Digital Navigators, Pop-Up Pantries, Food and Hygiene Drives, tutoring initiatives, and more.
“Every person can make a difference, and every person should try.” – President John F. Kennedy
Volunteering isn’t just about helping others–it’s good for you, too. It’s a chance to gain new skills, reduce stress, expand your social network, and even boost your mental and physical well-being. Studies have shown that people who volunteer report greater life satisfaction and lower rates of depression.
And here in New England, especially in New Hampshire, the spirit of service is strong. According to AmeriCorps’ Volunteering and Civic Life in America report, New Hampshire ranks #4 in the nation for volunteerism, with over 32% of residents–more than 400,000 people–giving their time to strengthen their communities.
Whether you’re a student fulfilling service hours, a newcomer looking to build local connections, or a longtime resident ready to give back, the Greater Nashua Volunteer Fair is a welcoming, one-stop opportunity to explore the many ways you can make an impact.
So, save the date: Thursday, May 22nd from 5:00-7:00pm at the Nashua Public Library. Discover how you can make an impact–right here in Greater Nashua.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community. See you at the fair!
