MILFORD – St. Joseph Hospital recently celebrated the arrival of a new, state-of-the-art CT scanner at Milford Medical Center.

This advanced technology delivers the same high-quality diagnostic imaging while using half the radiation dose previously required–enhancing patient safety without compromising accuracy.

The Aug. 15 event was attended by multiple local and state representatives and officials, along with hospital leadership and staff. Following brief remarks, attendees gathered for the official ribbon cutting and a blessing of the new equipment, symbolizing the hospital’s ongoing commitment to compassionate, leading-edge care.

The new CT scanner represents a significant investment in the Milford community. In the past year alone, St. Joseph has invested more than $3 million in Milford Medical Center, between the new CT scanner and the recently-opened Primary Care practice, with the goal of making the facility a true healthcare hub for the region.

“Bringing advanced technology like this to Milford means patients can access world-class care close to home,” said St. Joseph President John Jurczyk. “We are committed to serving this community with the same expertise and compassion people expect from larger medical centers, while maintaining the convenience and personal touch of a local facility.”

With these investments, St. Joseph continues to strengthen its presence in the Milford area, ensuring residents have access to top-tier medical services without the need to travel far for advanced diagnostics and primary care.
