Milford teen attempts to flee State Police

CANTERBURY – Tyler Neumann, 18, of Milford, was taken into custody on Nov. 14 following a pursuit on Interstate 93 north.

According to State Police, at 12:16 a.m., troopers attempted to stop Neumann for reckless operation and operating without functioning taillights.

Neumann, who was driving a 2021 Toyota RAV4, reportedly refused to stop and accelerated to speeds of more than 115 miles per hour. During the chase, Neumann committed a number of other traffic infractions and almost collided with other vehicles.

As the pursuit continued into Canterbury, Neumann nearly drove off the highway before pulling over in the breakdown lane.

During the on-scene investigation, troopers determined that he was not impaired in any way.

Neumann was charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying an officer, operating without a valid driver’s license, reckless operation, lane control and tail lamp/reflector.

He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on Dec. 12.

Under state law, if convicted, Neumann could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $7,200 in fines.
