NASHUA – The Nash Casino presented nearly $2 million in combined contributions to 18 nonprofit organizations on Jan. 20.

This amount was accumulated from the combined revenues generated by games of chance, historical horse racing machines and newly launched video lottery terminals in December 2025. In the first 10 months of operations, The Nash generated an unprecedented $15.4 million for New Hampshire nonprofits.

Also in December, The Nash began offering five-day weeks to partnering nonprofits, down from seven days, in order to significantly increase the number of nonprofits served.

“It is incredibly meaningful for us to be able to partner with so many organizations that are making a real difference in people’s lives,” said The Nash General Manager Eric Althaus. “We’re continuing to look for ways to expand those partnerships and support even more New Hampshire nonprofits.”

Upstone Montessori School in Nashua plans to use the money to create an endowment that will lower tuition costs for students from the greater Nashua community, according to Founder Austin Matte.

“These funds will help us realize our vision of creating broader access to high-quality early childhood education, while continuing to expand our high-fidelity Montessori program.” Matte said.

Robert Rimol, the president of Londonderry Trailways, said the funds will help them build the seventh phase of their rail trail in the coming years, completing its connection to Derry’s trail, and installing a pedestrian hybrid beacon where it crosses a roadway.

“We’re very excited about our partnership with the casino,” said Rimol. “When it comes time to provide the matching funds to complete this project, we will be able to do it thanks to The Nash.”

Mark Samsel, president of Windham Rail Trail Alliance, said the money will ensure they can sustainably maintain the Windham Rail Trail, which he said is the most heavily trafficked paved rail trail in New Hampshire.
